Architect Francis Hoffman designed this stunning brise-soleil in 1958 that surrounds the outside of the Union Planters Bank in North Beach, Miami. The mid-afternoon sun pours through the from the right creating a memorable interplay of light and shadow on the wall opposite (left). Through the bottom center is framed the logo of a paint shop on the other side of the road.
